About the Northern Ireland Hereford Breeders Association

The Northern Ireland Hereford Breeders Association is an organisation which promotes Northern Ireland Hereford cattle and Certified Hereford beef. Membership is open to any member of the Hereford Cattle Society who resides in Northern Ireland. Throughout the year, the Association organises a number of shows, sales and other events to promote the breed and its members. More details of these events can be found on the “Events” page.

The Association also produces a full colour magazine, NI Hereford Focus which is mailed to every breeder in the UK. This publication includes breeders’ advertisements, breed features and news. If you would like to receive a copy please contact our secretary Mark Moore. The Association holds regular open meetings which all members can attend and organises a breed stand at RUAS Balmoral Show, Winter Fair and other leading summer shows.

The current chairman of the NIHBA is Adrien Irvine and he is ably supported by a committee which is elected every three years.
